A brownie (literally" brownie "), also known as chocolate brownie, is a small chocolate cake, similar to a cake , typical of the cuisine of the United States. It is named for its dark brown, or brown in English.
Sometimes it is covered with a thick syrup of chocolate, and it can carry inside pieces of nuts, chocolate, peanut butter.
It is believed that the first mention of a brownie is in 1896, although this recipe did not contain chocolate, but a molasses.
It is also believed that brownies were discovered by accident, when a careless cook who tried to make a chocolate cake forgot to use yeast.> There are many different recipes for brownies, and simple versions often serve as an introduction to confectionery.

Brownie
175 gr. of dark chocolate
125 gr. of butter and 225 gr. of sugar
2 eggs
A spoonful of vanilla extract
125 gr. of flour
In a pot over the heat, put the chopped chocolate and the butter, stirring until they melt.
When this mixture has cooled, we add the sugar, the eggs, a pinch of salt, the vanilla extract, and beat with the blender. Add the sifted flour and stir until well blended.
We grease the mold, pour the dough and spread it well.
We bake for 35 minutes in a preheated oven at 190º.
We slice into squares when it is still hot .
Serve sprinkled with icing sugar
